Sustainable and healthy offices are not the exception even in the Czech office environment. Evidence of this is, for example, the dedicated institute that helps companies transform the workplace into a healthy, socially aware and prospering environment. A healthy office
Each year CBRE organises the competition Meeting Room of the Year, which includes the category “A healthy office”. The aim of the project is to enlighten the public with respect to the influence of a healthy office environment on health, comfort and productivity. The competition is an excellent opportunity to highlight the projects that can inspire others.
Green Walk – Green Talk
A similarly inspiring project is Green Walk – Green Talk, a regular excursion organised by the Czech Green Building Council. They take place roughly once every two months and provide an opportunity to visit interesting sustainable buildings with innovative concepts.
The Visionary building
The Visionary office building, located in Prague’s Holešovice district, is a building that embodies the latest trends in the Czech real estate market. Shortly after its completion last year it obtained LEED Platinum Shell & Core certification, and with 95 points out of 110 it became the second most environmentally friendly building in Europe. Later it also managed to obtain WELL Shell & Core certification, which assesses the internal environment of a building, and its influence on the wellbeing of the people working in it. Visionary is the first project in the Czech Republic and Central Europe in general, to obtain WELL. It is the highest construction standard.
The Visionary building has a personalised application that can be downloaded by tenants onto their smart phones. This gives them easy access to services in the building, and also in the locality. For example, using the application you can arrange the dry cleaning of a suit, book a sports facility in the garden or reserve a shared electric car or bike.
